Microfilmed Marriage Records

The BythewayGenealogy.Info marriage collection contains hundreds of marriages extracted from microfilmed parish registers, using the film rental system available through the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

If the number found in the source column in the marriage index has an “F” at the beginning, the source for that marriage is from microfilm. The detail available for these marriages will depend entirely on the year of the event. The earlier the marriage, the more sparse the personal information will be. Occasionally both a microfilm record and a certificate are available (after mid-1837). In that case, only the certificate number, with a capital ‘C’ at the beginning, will appear in the source column.

Details of a microfilmed marriage record are available free of charge. If a certificate is available for the marriage, the details will also be found in the family record notes. Simply request a copy of the family group record by email (click on the hyper-linked family number).

Please allow 7-10 days for a response to Family Group Record requests. Thank you.
